The Vios iDx CO2 Incubator with the Thermo Scientific™ Cell Locker™ System combines our leading technology with an innovative, proprietary solution of removable, protected chambers designed for improved culturing efficiency and security for sensitive cultures, such as stem and primary cells, used in cutting edge applications.

• Thermo Scientific™ THRIVE™ active airflow technology for homogenous growth conditions and fast recovery of all parameters, minimizing the exposure of cell cultures to fluctuations and maintaining stable conditions with recovery of all parameters in ten minutes or less.
• Thermo Scientific™ Steri-Run™ high-temperature sterilization cycle is independently proven to provide a 12-log sterility assurance level and all areas reach at least 180°C in all areas, based on 48-point temperature mapping.
• In-chamber HEPA filtration achieves ISO Class 5 air quality conditions in only five minutes after a 30-second door opening.
• 6 segmented, gas tight inner door configuration and 3 shelves designed to accommodate 6 individual Cell Locker™ chambers, available to be purchased separately with a stainless steel (50151650) or copper (50154739) sliding tray and transport cover.
• With the Cell Locker™ system, gas consumption from a door opening is reduced by 50%, saving time and money.

• IR180Si CO2 sensor configured in situ for fast recovery and long service life.
• Condensation-free humidification system with protected, integrated 3-L water reservoir. Easily fill or drain without removing cultures to help keep sterilized distilled water clean. Slide out cover allows full access for cleaning.
• Large, crisp 7-inch touchscreen display for quicker at-a-glance monitoring of chamber conditions. Set language* and programmable access code provide additional accessibility and security.
• Ergonomic door design to make routine loading, unloading, and checking on cultures easier than ever. Electromagnetic door lock comes standard.
• Tri-gas options offer variable oxygen control for physiological tissue research. Simulate hypoxic (1-21% O2) or hyperoxic (5-90% O2) conditions based on application.
• Select electropolished stainless steel or 100% pure copper interior, with easy-to-clean curved interior chamber corners and shelving designs that are easy to install and remove without tools.
• Each Cell Locker™ chamber holds 9 each T-75 cell culture flasks, 20 each 6-well plates, or 24 each 96-well plates.
• The Cell Locker™ chamber can be manually disinfected or can be autoclaved.

Seamless operations in modern labs

• Connectivity-ready design with front access USB port, optional 4-20 mA signal output (factory installed option). Compatible with Connect Edge and OPCUA Gateway, and CellMation, making the Vios iDx ideal for GMP environments that require 21 CFR compliance.
• The Cell Locker™ System can be configured to fit unique needs of your lab. The non skid tray slides out to allow access to culture vessels, or the entire tray can be removed.
• When one Cell Locker< chamber is opened, the other Cell Locker™ chambers maintain stable conditions, preserving the in vitro environment.
• Dishes and flasks can be removed individually on a work tray or inside the entire Cell Locker™ chamber with optional transport cover, thus protecting samples from outside air.

The IR180Si sensor has a silicon based MEMS emitter which emits full spectrum light. Incoming incubator air interacts with the light. An FPI filter continuously flips between 4.3 micrometers to measure the CO₂ concentration and 4.0 micrometers to zero the reference.
